The location was perfect, very close to the city center, and if you didn't want to walk too much, you have a bus station about 100 meters away. The room was clean, wi-fi was fast, and the bed was comfortable.

Situated in a pedestrian area inside Cluj-Napoca's mediaeval city wall, Hostel Retro offers 24-hour reception, free bicycles, as well as a sauna for a surcharge. Great, clean, and comfortable place. Excellent location. I had great conversations with Radu, the owner, who is an encyclopedia of Romanian history and all things Romanian. Will be going back. Highly recommended

I really loved this accomodation. It is a Hostel, I booked a separate room w/ shared bathroom and kitchen. The room was clean and comfortable. The management is really helpful - I arrived by car, and there are a limited number of parking spaces int he yard of the hostel. but the manager offerded several solutions, I was really impressed. This place is ideal four young travellers who want to explore the city, it is very close to the center, absolute walking distance. It has great common areas where you can relax together. I did love the athmosphere of this old villa as the owner called it.
