I came there for two nights but I stayed for 10 days. Comfy bed, good AC, clean bathroom and the cleaning ladies are coming multiple times a day. The breakfast, THE BREAKFAST!!!!! Homemade fresh waffles, maple syrup, jam, oats, milk, almonds, coffee machine, fruits, bread, tea, drinkable water. And all the stuff you can eat all day as a part of your reservation (except the waffles). You can borrow a beach towel and snorkkels for free as well. The stuff is friendly, speak great english and is very helpfull. Im not a party person, so I rented a bike and was traveling around the island a lot.

The Purple House is situated on a main road, but several miles from city center. You will have several restaurants and convenience stores just across the street. There is also a beach nearby. All of that is within easy walking distance. If you want to go to the city center, you will need to use taxis. It’s not a big deal, they are very easy to get, and Amanda will even give you information for a taxi service you can text directly. You can also rent a scooter, but beware because we saw many bandaged up people from scooter accidents and the hospital bills are $6,000+ Just factor the taxis into the cost of your stay here. The atmosphere is nice. Amanda is really friendly and helpful. She will answer you quickly every time. She wants your stay to be nice. The house has 8 beds, a mini fridge and a kettle, a bathroom, and a main gathering space. When I stayed we had 5 and we had no problem taking turns with the bathroom and we did okay with only cooking instant noodles using a kettle. The only part that was frustrating was trying to keep the main area cooled off. We would get the temperature just right and then the housekeeping would come clean and leave the doors to the outside open for an hour and it would get hot again. If they would just keep the doors closed when they cleaned the house would have stayed cooler. I would definitely recommend this house for women traveling. It felt so safe and it was really nice to have automatic friends. Amanda and her husband have done a great job creating that.

The host was so lovely and caring throughout our whole stay, also providing advice for travel on the island. The facilities were really clean with lovely warm powerful showers.
