I have been traveling for many, many years, in South America, Europe and Asia. I mostly sleep in hostels in shared rooms, and I would like to recommend the Justwalk Hostel in Hualien, Taiwan. The owner welcomes guests and helps with everything. The hostel is amazing in its beauty, clean and practical design, the best I have seen to date.

Set in Yuli and with Ruisui Railway Station reachable within 24 km, 途中玉里青年旅舍On My Way Yuli Hostel offers express check-in and check-out, non-smoking rooms, free bikes, free WiFi and a shared lounge. Very close to the station, inside the place feels lika a museum. You keep your shoes outside but get slippers which creates a home vibe. The kitchen is well equipped, there are free bikes outside. I was offered a free toothbrush since I had lost my cosmetics bag.

The beds are very comfortable and private. The showers are hot and have good pressure. The owner is very kind and helpful and really makes sure the guests are taken care of. Just a 10 minute walk from the train station and surrounded by plenty of places to eat. This will always be my go-to hostel when I’m in Hualien.

The owner is one of the nicest hosts I've ever had, helped me plan my stay in Hualien and recommended amazing places. After I got into an accident and was home/bed-bound for a few days he also went out of his way and helped me with whatever I need. The place itself is big and cozy, everything is cleaned every day, shower is warm - everything was perfect. Didn't expect that from the low price :)

Liyu järv on 17 km kaugusel. the staff so friendly, even they let me used computer for free. the hotel also near laundry and train station. its so confinement. The facilities also clean such as bathroom and toilet.

Travel Charger Hostel asub Hualieni linnas, 800 meetri kaugusel Hualieni raudteejaama tagaväljapääsust. Kogu majutusasutuses on tasuta WiFi-ühendus. Amazing staff that gave great recommendations and was super welcoming and helpful, very nice communal area, clean and spacious dorm room.

Situated in Hualien City and within 2.8 km of Beibin Park Beach, World Inn 窩二樓小客棧民宿 has a shared lounge, non-smoking rooms, and free WiFi throughout the property. The staff was incredibly kind and helpful. The facilities were really clean and the rooms were super cozy. It had everything you need and even went beyond by providing things like house slippers and shampoo!

Captain Not At Home asub Hualieni linnas, Beibin Parki rannast 2,6 km ja Nanbin Parki rannast 2,9 km kaugusel. Tubades on konditsioneer ja ühine vannituba. Everything. This was truly a "minshuku". The owner owns and lives there. It is not another commercial space rented out to build hostel. In terms of facilities, the room and bathroom were clean. The stairs were not an issue for me. The owner is very nice and welcoming. Overall, my favorite stay in Taiwan.
