I have been traveling for many, many years, in South America, Europe and Asia. I mostly sleep in hostels in shared rooms, and I would like to recommend the Justwalk Hostel in Hualien, Taiwan. The owner welcomes guests and helps with everything. The hostel is amazing in its beauty, clean and practical design, the best I have seen to date.

Set in Yuli and with Ruisui Railway Station reachable within 24 km, 途中玉里青年旅舍On My Way Yuli Hostel offers express check-in and check-out, non-smoking rooms, free bikes, free WiFi and a shared lounge. This is probably my favourite hostel I’ve ever stayed in. It’s really social in a gentle way. The staff were amazing and I really enjoyed meeting them. Everyone is so friendly, we went out for dinner and it was wonderful. The vibe is super cool from the owners decor and there’s a cute cat too. Other guests staying there were really friendly too. They have 3 bikes available for guests to borrow. Thanks for an awesome experience.

It's walking distance from Hualien station & laundry store. The staff is friendly and patient in answering our inquiries prior to the arrival and provides taxi booking to the night market as well.

The owner is one of the nicest hosts I've ever had, helped me plan my stay in Hualien and recommended amazing places. After I got into an accident and was home/bed-bound for a few days he also went out of his way and helped me with whatever I need. The place itself is big and cozy, everything is cleaned every day, shower is warm - everything was perfect. Didn't expect that from the low price :)

Hostel View asub kultuuripargi bussipeatuse vastas Hualieni linnas. Hostelis on konditsioneeriga toad ja tasuta WiFi-ühendus. Hostel View asub Dongdameni ööturust 10-minutilise jalutuskäigu kaugusel. I was solo traveler with my bike. The owner also good cyclist, and gave me some local info likes warning point on the road. You can keep your bike on their lobby with the bike stand. The hotel is front of sight seeing point, and close to walk to the restaurants and conveniences stores. (So the hotel is Not noisy outside). I strongly recommend this hotel.

Situated in Hualien City and within 2.8 km of Beibin Park Beach, World Inn 窩二樓小客棧民宿 has a shared lounge, non-smoking rooms, and free WiFi throughout the property. Owners were wonderful, great shower, bed was super comfy! Very close to bus/train station.

The rooms, shared spaces, and bathrooms are all very clean and comfortable. The owner is also very welcoming and friendly. The location is convenient — it’s close to Hualien Station, and there are many restaurants nearby. I would love to stay here again if I visit Hualien in the future.
