Great location, central to everything we wanted to do and see in Burra. Loved the quirky Burra Bakehouse, lots to discover in and around the property. Made you feel immersed in the history of the area.

Very old place but atmospheric as most of Burra’s accommodation places are, but to have our small dog with us is our prime concern. All was very acceptable including the bottle of complimentary wine. However, there is only seating for 3 people in the lounge and as we have adult relations who visited after a hotel dinner, we needed more seating. Also, the other bedrooms were locked which was quite unusual. On some occasions I need to sleep separately from my restless husband and I would not have been able to. Some friends were unable to obtain any accommodation in Burra for our midweek sojourn due to a film being made locally and they would have gladly paid for the extra accommodation. Lighting for makeup was poor but generally the house was okay and suited our needs. We were only there at night and it’s lovely and quiet and dark. We have stayed in other similar places in Burra and as with them, we enjoyed our time.

Everything was amazing. Heritage, old country feel. Was supposed to be just for my partener and i but we decided to take my mum. She had a wonderful time. It did her good. Glad we took her. Just what she needed. Would stay there again for sure. Garden was beautiful.

It was authentic and quirky and we enjoyed the wood fires .The kitchen was well equipped.It was a bit like a museum in a cottage.
