We had an upper 2 bedroom unit in this low-rise complex. It was a clean, quiet self-service apartment just a block from the end of the Cairns boardwalk (so away from noise and crowds). Greg, the concierge who also lives on site, was extremely helpful. He arranged our pickup at the apartment for an excellent trip to the Kuranda Rainforest (historic train up, cable car down). There were also other trips he could arrange (e.g. to the Great Barrier Reef). While next to a bar, we could not hear any noise. The apartment has an outdoor pool.

눉The room wasn't completely clean. There was an old towel hanging on a door and old soap in the shower. Some of the cutlery in the drawer was dirty.

눉The beds were extremely uncomfortable. Our rooms were at the end of complex that backs onto the beer garden of a back packers and it was incredibly noisy. Had we known this prior to booking we would not have stayed. The noise from upstairs apartments was very disturbing also. The apartment itself was dated and furnishings sparse. There was only the minimal amount of towels and pillows and despite staying for 7 nights we did not receive any house keeping during that time.
눇The manager who greeted us on arrival was friendly and helpful.

눉The mattress in the bedroom was in a very poor conditition wth springs poking through it. A replacement matyressed was asked for but not available. A mattress blanket was provided instead. Occupants actually slept on couch instead. Our apartment was directly below an apartment where a young family lived and each morning we were awoken by the sounds of the children running around above us, it was very annoying. The size of the apartment was excellent for 2 couples, however, overall the apartment is in need of some TLC.

눉Fridge was a bit substandard, shelves missing on door (which we like to use),the clothes washing area had a damp mouldy smell which once ventilated cleared. Access to wifi in restricted ''common areas'' that had no power or seating so could not really be utilised.
눇Spacious and comfortable with a massive balcony overlooking pool and mountain views. Bed was clean and comfortable and nice bathrooms.

눉There are a lot of permanent residents in the apartments and.woke us up early every morning going to work The bedding was horrible 2 single beds pushed together with just a sheet over the mattress not even a mattress protector between you and the last person and hard as a rock The apartment was so dark you needed lights on during the day it had no outlook nothing like your website description no wifi no Foxtel no tv in main bedroom no fitness facilities actually no facilities worth mentioning Shouldn't be on a holiday. Poking site and $200 a night what a rip off

눉The noise from the resident upstairs; continual thumping as he/she walked around, and they walked around a lot! Was ok for 3 days but wouldn't have put up with it for longer. Also there were some repairs needed in the apartment such as the shower tap that fell off and the bathroom sink tap that sprayed water everywhere. Pool also too cold.
눇Good location for a walk along the boardwalk into town. Very spacious apartment. Good services within the apartment such as a full laundry, large well equipped kitchen. Friendly staff member checked us in.
