This privately-run one-bedroom Apartment in "The Lakes" close to the Cairns city, with 4 pools in the complex and tennis court is one not to be missed. The unit contains everything you need to eat in, relax, and enjoy our amazing climate. Suitable for holidaymakers as well as temporary business residents. Take advantage of the short distance to all major attractions and restaurants. THE SPACE: 'The Lakes' Flexible One Bedroom in North Cairns is situated on the first floor, accessible by stairs only. The lounge area offers a small balcony, two pull-out sofas perfect for lazing in front of the Smart TV. Free WiFi along with a selection of board games are provided for your entertainment during your stay. The kitchen is fully equipped with a refrigerator/freezer, stove, microwave, kettle as well as all basic kitchenware. A coffee Nespresso machine is provided with a few other staples for your convenience. The air-conditioned bedroom has a king-size bed, quality mattress and walk-in wardrobe. The bathroom features a double sink, bath/shower and wall-mounted hair dryer. The unit comes with high-quality towels and bed linen as well as a washing machine, dryer, iron, ironing board, and other cleaning basics. Parking within the complex is included in your reservation as well as access to the shared swimming pool and tennis court (reservation needed, fees apply). The Cairns Esplanade is the jewel in the Cairns crown. It is very popular with locals for walking, jogging, cycle pathway, exercise equipment at various locations along the length of grassy, well-maintained lawns. The expansive parks and gardens are beautiful. There is a concrete pathway along the beach. About 3 kms away from The Lakes, there is Muddy's Cafe (local fish and chips, burgers etc) and terrific water playground and jungle play area for kids. The southern end of the Esplanade has many bars and restaurants to choose from, as well as a world-class casino with restaurants (and is adjacent to the main shopping area). Here you will find plenty of tour booking agents for a big range of reef, rainforest, tablelands tours scenic flights, fishing trips, balloon flights, and other specialty tours. The Cairns beach is not for swimming. Please use the pools at the complex or the huge free infinity pool at the southern end of the esplanade which has its own beach and lifesavers. Gas barbecues, ice cream shops and cafes are nearby. Further along, the southern end of the Esplanade is the Marina, from where local charter, fishing charters and daily tour vessels to the reef operate and in the river mouth is the Port for national and international cruise ships.
