The Summit B&B is a four-bedroom “Queenslander”, with a wide inviting deck on three sides, giving views from all rooms. Situated next to an Environmental Park and surrounded by Rainforest, privacy from neighbours is assured and native wildlife abounds. Built in the classic “Queenslander” style, with all rooms having access through French doors to a wide inviting deck, it is self contained and “non hosted”. The Summit B&B can be booked on a B&B room (Breakfast is not included -24 hours notice required) basis, or as an entire house (sleeps 10). The facilities include a pool, 3 ensuited bedrooms, full kitchen & coin operated laundromat, panoramic views, centrally heated and cooled, WiFi connection is available throughout the property for multiple devices and a beautiful lounge area with bay windows. There are three bedrooms – the “Bandicoot”, “Pademelon” & “Wallaby” rooms, all of which have private ensuites & TV’s. The rooms are configured with king beds. The Pademelon bedroom, has an interconnecting ensuite into two rooms, 1st bedroom with a king and 2nd bedroom as a twin share – suitable for a family of 4 or 2 singles that know each other.

The “Atherton Tablelands” or “Cairns Highlands”, situated close to Cairns and the Great Barrier Reef, the Waterfalls and Crater Lake District is a wonderful place to spend some time in Far North Queensland. Townships in the Tablelands region include: Atherton, Mareeba, Herberton, Millaa Millaa, Ravenshoe, Yungaburra and Malanda. With an annual rainfall of around 1400mm, Atherton (The most central town), and its immediate district, are a lovely tropical green. The towns and villages of the Atherton Tablelands boast a tropical atmosphere and close knit community spirit. Naturally air-conditioned, being an average 700 metres above sea level the district is free of coastal humidity and high temperatures. The perfect summer retreat, but still close to coastal attractions. Residents boast that they are blessed with the best weather in the world. With winter getting an occasional helping of early morning frost and the daily temperature around a perfect 21 degrees Celsius. An ideal position to base yourself. Visit the crater lakes, world heritage rainforest, waterfalls and historical areas. You can even explore further west, out to the Gulf Savannah and other Outback areas.
