Located just steps away from Freights Bay - an ideal surf location - less than 10-minutes walk from the stunning Miami (Enterprise) Beach, and a quick 15 minutes from the airport, “Freights Reach” my beautiful 3 bedroom, 3 bathroom, fully equipped home is a perfect retreat for surfers, beach lovers, families or anyone seeking a relaxing vacation.
I am a mixed up Caribbean girl having lived in a number of islands in the region. I love cooking, music, entertaining, hiking, anything outdoorsy, dogs and travel. I am a hotelier and have been involved in hospitality my entire career - I’m one of those super lucky people that works at the thing that they love! I have lived in Barbados now for over 25 years and hope that you end up loving the island as much as I do.
Enterprise/Atlantic Shores is a lovely residential neighborhood that provides easy access to beautiful beaches and surf locations, lots of scenic jogging or walking routes and easy access to nearby dining, golf and some of the best wingfoiling, kitesurfing and windsurfing conditions in the world. Oistins Fishing village, famous for its Friday Night Fish Fry, is a 3 minute drive or 15 minute walk away. Other popular dining options including Mr Delicious on Enterprise Beach (try the “delicious” rum punch), Cafe Luna (great for sundowners and a delicious dinner) and Surfer’s Bay - featuring live music several nights a week - are all a leisurely walk or short drive away. If golf is your thing, the Barbados Golf Course located at Durants is a short 10 minute drive from Cotton Bay. Miami/Enterprise Beach, Freights for surfing and Oistins fishing village are all accessible within a short walk. A car rental is recommended even if for a part of your stay as this allows you to really explore all parts of this beautiful island. Bus service on the island - by ZR Vans or the Transport Board is easily available and there is a bus stop just outside the main gate.
