Marta, the owner/manager, is great. She is charming, welcoming and treated me like family. Plus, she has a wealth of useful information. The property is comfortable and very well located if you’re in Belmopan for work with the university, government agencies, or international organizations there. The shared kitchen is well equipped. There’s a small grocery store and nice fruit and veggies market very close by. And it’s a great base camp for budget travelers exploring the Cayo district and beyond.

A 10 minute walk to the bus station if you take the shortcut. Well worth visiting the Blue hole national park & St Herman caves (take a flashlight)
ColombiaMarta was the greatest. She was helpful and chatted lots with us about Belize and Belmopan, both of which she knows very well. Our room was huge, as was the bathroom, and both were spotless. Wifi always worked and was quick. There's a shared kitchen available but shared between 3 units, I think -- we never actually 'shared'.

Hacienda Tropical Guest House is a small but clean guest house. From our location you can easily walk or take a city bus or taxi to most parts of Belmopan, including embassies, government offices, the University of Belize, and so on. We are conveniently in the center of the country in the capital of Belize, Belmopan City.
I enjoy photography, meeting people and dancing. I love to share what knowledge I have about my gorgeous country and people. I am very happy sharing information with my guests to help them have a most fulfilling experience in Belize... whether for work or play.
Within two blocks of the guest house you can find laundromat, supermarket, bakery, vegetable market, pharmacy, and local restaurants, making your life easy and relaxed.
