Belle Maison B&B is conveniently located just 7 minutes drive from Sidney By The Sea on beautiful Lands End Road. Our Bed and Breakfast is situated on a hill, surrounded by tall west coast forest with a lovely view over Satellite Channel to Salt Spring Island and the Gulf Islands. Our B&B is close to everything: the Swartz Bay ferry is 5 minutes away by car and a quick 10 minute drive from Victoria International airport. Shopping & restaurants are nearby in Sidney, only 7 minutes away. Downtown Victoria is just a 25 minute drive. We are your hosts, Ruthanne and Ross.  Absolutely loving where we live here on the Peninsula, nearby Sidney By The Sea and of course, Victoria, we thought it a great idea to share our home, our knowledge of the area and our respect and love of the natural scenery and of course, gardens.  That's how the idea for our B&B was born.   We have spent a number of months in France over the years, attending language school, house-sitting, visiting friends and otherwise being tourists.  That experience has become an integral part of who we are and how we express our hospitality.  We do speak french - with Ross more fluent than Ruthanne at this point. So, we welcome (and encourage) conversations in either language here at the Belle Maison Auprès De La Mer Bed & Breakfast.

Our neighbourhood is nestled amongst tall West Coast cedars, firs and pine trees with easy ocean access via many trails close by the property. Low tide affords an adventure in checking out tide pools, collecting shells and later in the afternoon and early evening - a beautiful warm experience at the beach as the sun disappears behind Salt Spring Island. There is opportunity for golf, getting a massage, renting kayaks and hiking all very close by!
