Staff was very pleasant and helpful, going above and beyond the call of duty. Rooms were well appointed and stocked with plenty of water. We were given a free room upgrade and complimentary breakfast without even asking for it. for that I’m most grateful!
United Arab EmiratesThis hotel located few steps from the bund and Nanjing road just walking distance, beautiful Gatsby style room we loved so much. Thanks to the manager, my request of higher floor been fulfilled and we’ve got a free upgrade, besides they’ve allowed us to check in earlier around 11am that was so helpful after long trip and flight. Breakfast was good and the room was clean and cozy.
ChinaExcellent location and really stylish Art Deco place, just behind the Bund. This hotel really grew on me, it's quite historic and atmospheric, but also very very quiet and peaceful and understated, great for a city break. It's a shame we didn't try the art deco restaurant. We were given lots of free stuff at the front desk too, magnets, water etc, very nice service.
ChinaWe got a great deal for the room. It was spacious and nicely decorated. The place could do with a bit of upkeep but overall it was a very nice stay. Our room came with free breakfast as well.
ChinaWe were upgraded to a room whose balcony gave us a view on Pudong, nice surprise ! Everything was great: comfortable room and bathroom, amazing view, very central location, friendly and English speaking staff. All of this for a very reasonable price

ChinaStaff was very accomodating. The suite was large with a very large outdoor terrace that had a fantastic Bund view. My suggestions for the suite it to have some kind of rug in the sitting room, it is also a bit dark because there were limited outlets to plug a lamp into. On the terrace, there could be additional seating, as it is very large. The hotel is historic and the renovation has been done nicely to maintain the heritage architecture. Location is wonderful for the Bund. Only slight issue is that the elevator to the upper floors is slow and there is only one. The shower had amazing pressure! I would definetly recommend to others and will likley stay again in the near future.
