Calling all nature lovers! Nestled among trees filled with parakeets, howler monkeys, and lazy iguanas, our condo is in Potrero, Costa Rica, a 3-minute walk to the peaceful and secluded white sand Penca Beach and a 3-minute walk to Potrero beach- a long dark volcanic sand beach that is perfect for a walk at sunset. Take the short hiking trail from the north end of Penca beach to get to Prieta beach - a gray sand beach with beautiful shade trees. While staying at the condo you can enjoy great snorkeling right on Penca Beach with the snorkel gear, the beautiful variety of white, gray, and volcanic sand beaches nearby, and the quiet location in the fishing village of Potrero where you can enjoy the wildlife, local markets, fresh produce, several bars and restaurants within walking distance, or many more within the travel of 5-10 minutes. Sailing Center is very close and guests may rent kayaks, SUPs, boats, and go on a variety of excursions from there. We are also happy to help you book any of the variety of diving, fishing, horseback riding, zip-lining, ATV, white water rafting, etc. tours and excursions in the area. The resort town of Playa Flamingo with upscale restaurants and nightlife is a 5-minute drive south. Drive 10 minutes north and you will find the beautiful Las Catalinas development and a 20-mile network of hiking and biking trails with breathtaking views! Also, don't miss the gorgeous Playa Conchal, or Shell Beach, rated one as the most beautiful beaches in Costa Rica, just a 10-minute drive south of the condo. For great surfing lessons, more restaurants, shopping, and a rowdier nightlife, the town of Tamarindo is about a 30-minute drive south of the condo. Playa Grande, a huge sea turtle nesting sanctuary, is also just south of the condo.
