As a family, we love to explore and discover new things! Cyprus is full of hidden little jewels, which makes it the perfect destination for any couple or family who is looking for more than just the typical beach holiday. After living in Cyprus for 16+ years, we are still uncovering secret little places in different villages and areas around the island, and experiencing the wonder of the unique landscapes, natural habitats, cultural idiosyncrasies and architecture of each area. The best part? Nothing is more than a 2-hour drive away, and the mild season means we can explore all year round! We also love learning about Cyprus heritage, and sharing what we know with our guests. Be sure to ask Anastasios about some of his grandfather's stories and diaries which he has transcribed and translated. You will be amazed! If we had the time to do anything we wanted, it would probably have to be traveling! Unfortunately we do not have much time for that, but we don't mind, because we love chatting with our guests and learning about their own travels and home countries. It's the next best thing to traveling ourselves!

Located in the village is Ecophysis, a company which offers hikes (complete with binoculars and hiking vest) and picnics led by a certified biologist , as well as the unique opportunity to be a "beekeeper for a day" by visiting their hives in a full beekeeping suit and learning about honey and the extraction process. There is also of course the opportunity for honey tasting, and even craft projects revolving around honey and beeswax which can be arranged. Located near to Vavla is the Ktima Christoudia Winery, where one can merely visit for a tour of the winery, small museum, and wine tasting, or even have the opportunity to take part in the wine-making process by working in the vineyards or bottling in the winery. Self-guided walks to a restored village well, as well as our famed "Lady of Love" church are also within easy reach. Whatever you choose to do, you can be sure to find a true agrotourism experience in Vavla!
