One gets to Frankfurt within an hour, to Paris within 3 hrs, to other big cities in the vicinity even quicker and to the city centre within 5 minutes. The entrance to the zoo is right around the corner. ZKM (Museum of modern and media art) is only three tram stops away. Get one of the many rental bikes in front of the apartment and see Karlsruhe like a local. Sauna, Spa, public indoor and outdoor pools are very close as well.
