Situated in Old Nuuksio, near the Nuuksio National Park, this cosy glamping like cottage is providing guests with a magnificent experience and hide away. Troll House Eco-Cottage offers accommodation in Nuuksio on the borders of Nuuksio National Park and only 24 km from Helsinki Airport. Featuring a private wood fired sauna and garden views, this chalet also offers free WiFI and complementary tea and coffee. The cottage has one bedroom with a double bed, a kitchenette with fridge and microwave, an eco-toilet and free toiletries. Towels and bed linen are offered free of charge in the chalet. There is no running water in the chalet but outdoors you will find a solar powered shower and a small summer kitchen as well as a fireplace and a BBQ. There is well water outside. I will supply drinking water as well as water for basic hygiene and cleaning your teeth. If you need help to start the sauna please let me know and I will be more than happy to do so. This cosy cottage is offering great experiences with a lot of outdoor activities such as hiking in the nearby Nuuksio National Park, canoeing on the lake, paddle boarding or just relaxing by making the most of the back garden. The cottage is located in our back garden about 50 meters from our home . It is uniquely shaped featuring typical Finnish décor. It has two transparent roof windows, to enjoy the starlit sky. It is nestled in our back garden. The nearest shopping facilities are in Espoo Keskus, approximately 7 km away with a variety of shops such as a pharmacy, grocery stores, pet shops and restaurants. We aim to have as little environmental impact as possible, so this chalet offers a perfect way to travel green and sustainable in style. Small and mid-size are permitted on request for 10e per night.

I am a French woman living in Finland since 20 years with my Finnish husband. I love exploring the world and learning about new cultures. I am a dog lover, and we have 2 little dogs living with us. I enjoy people, gardening, being close to horses, long walks in the nearby forest and lakes or just reading a good book. I enjoy hosting our guests. I try to make them feel comfortable and to enjoy their holidays but I am far from perfect. We decided to build and equip the wooden house in the most sustainable way in order to have a minimum impact on the environment. Nuuksio and its National Park is an area with over 100 lakes and ponds and a popular get away in the capital area having been the third most visited National Park in Finnland in 2022. Nuuksio is a recreational paradise for outdoor enthusiasts and outdoors lovers with a wide range of outdoor activities such as canoeing, swimming or hiking. Only 30km from Helsinki the cottage is easy to reach by public transport with the bus stop being only about 150 meters away from the property. Hiking trails start from the property with Nuuksio National Park only 7 km away from the property. The small river next to the house leads to the Nuuksio Big Lake (just 400 meters from us), where you can also find a little beach. The Nuuksio Recreational area and trails are just a few footsteps away. Activities in summer and autumn: Hiking, nature walks, bicycling, canoeing, swimming, rock climbing, golfing, horseback riding, bird watching and fishing, husky rides, berry & mushroom picking.
