The location is ideal in winter for skiers, but also in summer for hikers and mountain bikers. The terraces are very well equipped for a drink as you admire the view, or you could relax in the sun. When you stay at Chalet Timan, you’re perfectly placed to explore the whole of the La Clusaz/Le Grand Bornand area and the Aravis mountains, which are a great year-round destination. In winter, you can ski straight into the village and with your Aravis ski pass, you have access to 220km of pistes and 95 lifts, so you will never be short of somewhere new to explore. There’s great terrain for cross-country skiers at the nearby Beauregard and Confins plateaus. Non-skiers will have no time to be bored, with an ice-skating rink and cinema in La Clusaz, as well as sledging, snow-shoe walking, dog-sledding and sleigh rides. If you’re looking for the ultimate in relaxation, let your cares float away in the village’s heated outdoor pool, while the snow falls gently around you. There's just as much going on in the summer, and Chalet Timan's position on the edge of La Clusaz means you won’t need a car to enjoy everything the mountains have to offer. Hike into the Col des Aravis, or let the telecabine ferry you and your bike to the top, so you can come back down at your own pace. Other activities available in the area include horse-riding, climbing, via ferrata and paragliding. The mountains around La Clusaz are criss-crossed with tracks and paths, so there is somewhere new to discover. The beautiful lakeside town of Annecy is just 30 minutes away by car, and is a great destination for a day out. The lake is said to be the cleanest in Europe and in the summer it’s a lovely place for water sports, cycling, swimming or you can just hire a boat and explore the lakeside beaches.
