Villa Franc Daut is on the outskirts of the lovely market town of Castillon la Bataille and only 10 minutes from the UNESCO world heritage village of St Emilion, world famous for its wines. Set in parkland bordering the river Dordogne, there is direct access to the towpath. The local amenities of Castillon are 10 minutes on foot or 1 minute by car. There are supermarkets, bakeries, butchers, greengrocers, pharmacies and all essentials within minutes of the house and a wonderful monday market. The nearest bar is 400m away and the area is abundant with great restaurants and fine dining. The train station at Castillon provides direct access to Bordeaux and Bergerac. Vineyards and wine growing dominates the area and there is lots to do for all the family.
