A light and airy recently remodelled one bedroom ground level apartment with own entrance and parking space. An open-plan fully equipped kitchen with an oven, induction hob, microwave, kettle and toaster. A regular size fridge with a freezer compartment. A dining table and chairs for four. An armchair, large sofa-bed and a coffee table are set in a room with access to outdoor dining on your own terrace. A SMART TV with access to Netflix and other apps. Coal BBQ allows you to enjoy al fresco dining. A pond, meadow and walnut grove provide the perfect environment for the kingfishers, woodpeckers (Inspiration for the apartment name) and a variety of other birds that visit daily. A large pool area, sun loungers with parasols, solar shower and Wi-Fi access provide a relaxing stay. The bedroom has a king size bed, wardrobe with shelving and hanging space and an additional chest of drawers. A covered terrace off of the main bedroom provides an ideal morning coffee location. A shower room with power point for hairdryer (supplied). There is a separate WC Although the apartment can accomodate 4, it is more suitable for 2 people.
Hi, we are Tracey and David and for the past 10 years we have been building our dream of living in France by visiting most school holidays and exploring the different areas this beautiful country has to offer. We fell in love with the Dordogne quite early on and decided that was where we would settle. In May 2020 we decided to take the leap and sold up in the UK and moved over here on November 1st, 2020, just in time for lockdown, making property buying a bit tricky! Le Malpas was meant to be! A few minutes from beautiful Belvès and with its own pond and stream bordering the property. Around 2.5 acres of land and our nearest neighbours about 500m away means we have the privacy we always wanted but without feeling completely isolated. After two successful seasons, we are looking forward to welcoming back previous and new guests. A few upgrades to the apartment have been made and externally, a pétanque court has been created for the enjoyment of guests. Families with young children should be aware that there is an open, unfenced pond and garden.
There are some wonderful countryside walks in the area which we can recommend and a local guide is available from the tourist office in Belves. Being in the heart of the Dordogne, there are many beautiful attractions, guides to which are available in the apartment. There are numerous local restaurants to suit most budgets and we are more than happy to make reservations for you, should you need us to.
