Les Tilleuls is an old Farmhouse, typical of the Comminge region of Haute Garonne. We are situated in a the heart of a small village, opposite the church, surrounded by lovely French countryside, with beautiful views of the Pyrenees. It was first renovated during the 1960's by the previous owners family, who emigrated from Italy during the 2nd World war. After relocating to France ourselves in 2004, we started our own renovations and improvements which included conversion of the barn attached behind the farmhouse, of which the first floor is now a large guest room with own shower, basin and WC. The 2nd guest room, also situated on the first floor, is one of the original farmhouse bedrooms, with the convenience of an en-suite shower/WC added. The large gardens, had been beautifully maintained by the previous owners, however over the next couple of years we decided to add a patio and swimming pool with sun terrace.

My husband Alan and I moved over to France in 2004. We had many holidays and weekend breaks all over the country, before deciding that this is the part of France where we wanted to live. At the time we were living in busy South Essex, 35 miles from central London, so a complete contrast from rural SW France! Our old former farmhouse needed much 'up-dating' and parts of the house needed converting before we were able to open as a Chambres d'hotes. The name Les Tilleuls was chosen because of the 2 Linden trees in front of the house. Alan has a passion for classic cars, and is always pleased to show guests his collection, and the cars he is restoring. Both English and French cars, MG, Citroen etc. We also have 2 dogs, Maya, a very lively (x Catalan shepherd) and Lucy, a Labrit.

St Pe Delbosc is a very peaceful village situated in a rural area in South West France. In summer, huge fields of sunflowers, can be seen for miles in the undulating landscape opening out to the foothills of the Pyrenees, which always seems to be greener here, probably due to the higher rate of rainfall, which makes it perfect for farming. The area is dotted with small farms, mainly cattle, sheep, pigs and cereals grown for animal feed. St Pe Delbosc, is no exception. Our neighbour rears cattle, grows is own vegetables and supplies us with fresh eggs. In fact, the friendliness of everyone in the neighbourhood, is what has kept us here for so long. There are many lovely walks through meandering lanes and leafly woodlands, yet we are only 5 minutes by car away from Boulogne sur Gesse, a small town with everyday amenities.
