The property has possibly some of the best views in the region. From the terraces you can see many of regions villages below with panoramic views as far as Perpignan and over the Corbiere mountain range. There is a balcony terrace, a side sun terrace ( a sun trap all year round) and a lower level terrace all with the same view. The apartment is tastefully decorated to reflect the surroundings. The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you would expect to use at home including a Nespresso coffee machine. We provide a welcome tray, beach towels, personal towels and all bed linen. There is also a great collection of garden furniture for the different terraces. We have Netflix, Amazon prime, a dedicated broadband line just for the apartment for Wi Fi use. There is a collection of DVDs, a flat screen TV and a selection of books and games. The swimming pool is a communal pool for those who live on the Domaine. Often you can be the only one or family at the pool depending on the time of day. People are very friendly at the pool and don't be surprised if you make some new friends. The Domain provides peace and seclusion but it is just 5 minutes drive to the village of Laroque

Mike and I have been holidaying in the Languedoc Roussillon region for the last 40 years. We have owned the Where Eagles Fly Villa for the last 15 years. From the moment we walked onto the main terrace and saw the view we fell in love with it. We have never tired of the view as it constantly changes moment by moment. The sun sets are spectacular. We appreciate the natural beauty of the region with the mountains and the coastline and its close proximity to both Spain and Andorra. We also enjoy the rich culture, the history and the food of the region. The peace and tranquility you experience is special taking you away from the fast pace of life and allows you to connect with the natural rhythm of nature as you sit on one of the three apartment terraces. I have a good eye for interior and garden design and spent a great deal of time creating beautiful terraces which surround the apartment. Mike and I love entertaining and its important to us that when our guests visit the apartment it is a 'home from home' experience and you will find all kinds of little extras to make your stay special. We have enjoyed holidays in the area every month of the year as its climate allows for this.

The apartment is the lower level of a three story detached property built into the rock of the mountain. The mountain is known as the Domaine des Alberes and is a community of houses that sit above the village of Laroque des Alberes. The road the property is in has a house at a distance to the left and one beyond the property's wild garden. There are only 3 other properties beyond our property so very little traffic passes by. There is off road double parking in the cut out of the rock opposite the apartment which is solely for the use of the house and the apartment. There are 17 steps down to the apartment from street level to its own front door. All terraces which belong to the apartment are private and secluded. The views are uninterrupted as there is nothing in front of the property. The neighborhood is very quiet with just the bird song to wake you up in the morning. You can hear the crickets, frogs and the occasional woodpecker.
