This charming, characterful cottage with lovely conservatory, courtyard garden and parking space is in the centre of this small, coastal village, close to the road leading to the beach. Benefitting from a variety of village shops, to include general store, butcher and fish and chip shop, the stunning beach is only a few minutes stroll away where you can relax on the sandy beach, explore the rock pools or tides permitting, walk the coast path and venture further afield to Cromer or Sheringham.

East Runton's beach is situated along the coast from the well known Norfolk seaside resort of Cromer, with its Victorian pier and esplanade. Despite their proximity these are two very different beaches. East Runton is a long, sandy beach backed by sloping sandstone cliffs and countryside beyond. You can glimpse Cromer's pier in the distance, and in fact you can walk there along the beach in around 10 minutes. East Runton lies on the A149 coast road between the resorts of Sheringham and Cromer and like West Runton next door the beach here is of interest to geologists and fossil hunters alike. The beach is home to the largest chalk reef in Europe and a wealth of fossils can be unearthed in the cliff face. The larger towns of Sheringham and Cromer are just a little further along the coast road – here you will find a selection of independent shops, a leisure centre, a cinema, museums, amusement arcades, a zoo, plus a delightful traditional pier with theatre showing a variety of performances throughout the year. For wildlife lovers – you won’t be disappointed, again further along the coast you can explore the well-known wildlife trust at Cley. This nature reserve – with its shingle beach and saline lagoons, along with the grazing marsh and reed-bed support a large numbers of wintering and migrating wildfowl & waders, as well as bitterns, marsh harriers and bearded tits. There is also an eco-friendly visitor centre, containing a café, shop and viewing areas across the Marsh to the sea which is breath-taking. Towards the high tide mark the beach is somewhat pebbly, however as the tide goes out acres of sand are revealed. Along with a seasonal lifeguard service and plenty of rock-pools East Runton is a firm family favourite. The beach at East Runton is also one of Norfolk's most popular surf spots.
