The village of Darsham has a number of pretty 16th Century cottages, a village church and an excellent pub, The Fox Inn, which is only a few doors down from 2 Fox Cottages. The village is within five minutes driving distance from the fantastic Emmerdale Farm Shop which stocks a wide variety of quality produce sourced both locally and nationally, as well as meat from their own home-reared Red Poll cattle. Yoxford can also be reached by car in less than five minutes - here you'll find a number of pubs and restaurants including The Kings Head and G&T's Cafe and Kitchen, as well as a number of antique shops. The Suffolk Coast is within easy reach of the cottage, including the popular seaside towns of Aldeburgh and Southwold.
