I have always had an open-door policy, welcoming my friends from all over the world to stay in our magical home. I have been a professional cook in private homes. In this little-known area of the Cotswolds, perfect villages hide in the hills while the Vale of Gloucester supplies top quality lamb, beef and fruit and vegetables - Stroud has one of the top three farmers markets in the UK; I buy from there and direct from local award-winning producers. For walks we have The Cotswold Way, Golden Valley and many others as well as the restored canal towpaths. For history we have Gloucester cathedral, Berkeley and Sudeley castles, Chedworth Roman villa, Tewkesbury, Cheltenham, Bath, Bristol, Cirencester and more. Music is everywhere, as are festivals for art and literature, horse-racing (Cheltenham, Chepstow), theatre (Royal Shakespeare Company at Stratford on Avon), and stunning English gardens and parks. Plus lots of traditional events.
