The Farmhouse is large, spacious and full of character. As you come in the front door you enter a hallway branching off to all downstairs rooms - a large comfortable lounge with TV, a cozy snug with armchairs perfect for a bit of piece and quiet, a compact and very well equipped kitchen excellent for cooking, a separate dining room and also another kitchen / hub of the house - with an impressive farmhouse table with plenty of room for all, armchairs, a TV and a stove, excellent for spending time together and entertaining! From here you can access the back yard and outhouses which lead out into a rugged and mature apple orchard which wraps around the side of the house. Within the orchard there is a large patio space, a BBQ and a washing line. There are two sets of stairs leading to upstairs where you have five light and airy bedrooms - four of which overlook and yard with the fifth overlooking the orchard, there is a shower room (consisting of shower, basin and toilet), bathroom (with roll-top bath, toilet and basin) and separate W.C. The farmhouse itself is 400 years old, it is beautifully decorated in keeping with its country farmhouse charm and bursting with character.

Lorraine and Martyn have lived and farmed on this National Trust property for over 20 years, now retired we enjoy renting out the property and welcoming guests. We Iive on site so are available if you need anything during your stay.

Ashclyst Farmhouse is a large 5 bedroom property on the National Trust Killerton Estate surrounded by 90 hectares of organic farmland adjoining Ashclyst Forest, we offer a peaceful rural location but only 6 miles from Exeter city centre, 4 miles from Exeter Airport, and the coastal towns of Exmouth & Sidmouth are within easy reach. There is no public transport to the property so your own transport is essential.
