The main house down the road from the lodge is private property. There will be a starter basket of logs left for the wood burner any further logs required will be GBP 5 per bag. The property is located on a working farm. There is open water in the property grounds. There are low ceilings, doors and/or beams within the property. This detached lodge sits in a rural location close to the town of Castle Douglas, a designated ’Food Town’ with many attractions close by.. Living room: With wood burner, Freeview TV and DVD player. This delightfully situated, detached holiday lodge is presented to an excellent standard, and situated in a rural location near to a working farm. The village of Springholm has its own shop and pub, but just a short drive away is the food town of Dumfries and Galloway, Castle Douglas. The cottage makes an ideal base for exploring this wonderful area either by car, bike or on foot, and the Mabie Forest mountain bike tracks are close by, whilst the scenic Caerlaverock Estate has a network of paths to enjoy.
