Betula: the scientific name for the Birch tree! Betula Chalet is a fantastic rural holiday home surrounded by birch trees. Modern and light with a scandi vibe it makes you feel relaxed the minute you arrive. Whether you feel like not seeing a soul or seek adventures and exploring you are in the right spot. The spacious bathroom with shower-bath and fully fitted kitchen makes your stay comfortable while the living area and bedrooms are welcoming and cosy. The downstairs bedroom has 2 single beds. The upstairs is a mezzanine with another 2 single beds. The latter can be put together to make one super king size bed. For this we use a mattress bridge and strap around the 2 mattresses which are then covered by one super king mattress protector and sheet. The 2 single duvets remain. Through the panorama window and the large decking you can connect with nature and wildlife. Ample parking space, free Wi-Fi available (you can stream movies or hold video calls). This is a very private chalet and you are not overlooked. The Chalet is suitable for all ages and every season, couples, friends or families- everyone is welcome, including dogs. Betula is in a peaceful and tranquil setting surrounded by mature birch trees and lots of wildlife. A large decking area with a picnic table, benches and sunlounges invites you outside and a BBQ is available. During your stay you can enjoy 'The Highland Soap Company' toiletries and kitchen essentials. All products are sustainable, single-plastic free, cruelty-free and mostly organic. Betula Chalet is set in over 5 acres (more than 2 hectares) of private land including a large pond and some woodland.

Originally from Germany I now call Scotland home, my husband's home-country. We worked in the medical humanitarian aid, travelling around the globe for decades. Now we love the more settled life here in the North of Scotland, a very beautiful and versatil part of the world. The owner's house is approximately 150 meter from the chalet. My husband Paul and our curious but very friendly dog Pino usually come to welcome you after your arrival and help you with any questions regarding the chalet or the area.

Betula is surrounded by countryside, farmland as well as old woodland. There is a wonderful Loch to explore in walking distance as well as the river Findhorn and historic landmarks. The nearest shops are 9 miles from the chalet. There is very little light pollution allowing wonderful stargazing. If you are lucky you might even see the Northern Lights. Inverness airport is 20 minutes’ drive away with good connections including London and Amsterdam. The nearest train station is 15 minutes’ drive in Nairn. From the doorstep you can take walks through beautiful Scottish countryside. A short drive away you find Nairn beach and the Cairngorms National Park. The Moray coast and the famous Speyside is in close proximity as well.
