With footpaths to the historic National Trust Calke Abbey, a historic house within 600 acres of nature reserve along with the Staunton Harold reservoir and its yacht club. Just 4 miles away you can visit the largest inland marina in Europe at Willington Mercia House, not to ment Donnington race track which houses the Grand Prix collection in the museum on-site. Also Donnington hosts the famous down load festival every year. The lodges lie in the National Forest, where you are given access to a wealth of beautiful countryside suitable for bird watching, cycling and walking.
