The flat is in Stroud Green in the borough of Islington. Although setback from the hustle and bustle, the flat is a stones throw from the high street on which you will find many coffeeshops and restaurants including the legendary Pizzeria Pappagones and Max's Sandwich Shop. As hosts we would be very happy to make further recommendations. There is a supermarket 3 minutes walk away and a number of specialist food shops where you can find almost any ingredient you can think of including local produce and speciality deli produce. It is a 15 minute walk from Finsbury park, where you can try out the boating pond and 5 minutes from the Parkland Walk, abandoned former railway track, now nature trail, which you can follow all the way to Highgate wood. Down the road you have the Emirate's Stadium, home to Arsenal FC and in the north you are a short bus journey from Alexander Palace with its lively schedule of concerts and events and views over the city.
