Company information

North Wales Holiday Cottages is a holiday letting agency based in Deganwy, Conwy where we have been for over 50 years. Established in 1966, we are Wales' oldest independent holiday letting agency, so we are a name you can trust. We visit all of our properties to make sure standards are maintained and to familiarise ourselves with the houses so we can answer any questions you may have. Visit Wales, an independent government body, also inspects the properties and awards them a quality star grading. Each year we help thousands of people find somewhere to stay in North Wales and we'd love to find somewhere for you too.

Property information

Bryntirion Lodge is a wonderful holiday home, transformed from a beautiful former gatehouse at Parc y Faenol (Vaynol Park Estate). A grand and walled estate, the gatehouse was built in 1863, and retains the character and history in its original parts, yet has been extended and modernised over the years to provide fabulous accommodation for up to 6 people. The grand and exquisite gated path up to the property is magnificent. There are two lounges, both facing the garden and woodland that lies beyond. The 'day lounge' is on the lower floor, and as the lodge is built on three levels, it has large french doors opening out onto the rear patio and outdoor seating and dining area. This in turn leads on down a few steps onto a more extensive patio and lawned area. The day lounge is again fabulously light and airy ideal for long relaxing mornings and breakfast on the patio, overlooking the small stream which runs by the cottage. The evening lounge is a few steps up from the kitchen and dining areas and has large comfortable chairs, a smart TV and DVD player, and a comfortable snug feeling that will wrap you up warm. There are three bedrooms (two double bedrooms and one twin/super-kingsized bedroom (with zip-and-link beds). The master double with ensuite bathroom (bath and shower cubicle) and TV is on the lower ground floor along with the twin bedroom third WC and utility room with washing machine, drying rack and access to the rear patio and lawn. The third bedroom (double bed with TV and views to the woods) is on the upper ground floor next to the beautifully appointed shower room. Bed linen and towels are supplied, there is WiFi and off-road parking for two cars.

Neighbourhood information

Y Felinheli lies between the Royal town of Caernarfon with its impressive castle to the West and the University city of Bangor to the East, Anglesey, Snowdonia and the whole of the North Coast are just a short drive away. Plas Menai National Watersport Centre and Greenwood family Park are both less than ten minutes' drive away, and for keen gardeners Crug Farm Plants is also close by. This is a beautiful spot to base yourself to experience all that North Wales has to offer, from Adventure to relaxation, fine dining to hillwalking, sailing to surfing and all that lies between.
