Everything was perfect : the owner is very friendly, he helped us finding a very good restaurant for the evening meal. He upgraded us, we had a wonderful suit with a view on the river. Conwy is a really beautiful place to visit in Wales. The castle is impressive and it was a joy to walk along the river. There were nice cafe's and pubs to visit, though fot more activities you had to travel further afield.
Conwy is a lovely little town. served by the mainline railway between London and Holyhead. It is dominated by a very dramatic castle built in 1280's with adjoining walls surrounding the whole town. Much of the castle and walls are amazingly intact and well preserved, and you can explore the castle (a charge applies) and walk along the top of the walls (for free) The views from the castle (and the walls) of the surrounding countryside, Welsh mountains and the river estuary are breathtaking, a photographers delight! The three bridges (carrying road traffic, the railways and old now disused traffic) enter Conwy directly beneath the Castle walls. Eating establishments are plentiful in the town. There is a long interesting promenade along the river side in the town.. The history of the town and its castle make for very interesting and intriguing reading. Incidentally, it was the first time that we have ever had to flag down the train back to Chester for it to stop and let us board - on a main line too!!!
The locals were very friendly, there are some brilliant walks and the views are wonderful. Everything is close as the town is not too large. Went to the local church too and the people were very welcoming. Would definitely return to Conwy for the easy pace of life and wonderful walks.
A great town, steeped in history and offering a wide selection of amenities/facilities. The Erskine Arms was most enjoyable, with a great selection of food and drinks, good atmosphere and friendly staff.
Conwy is so dog friendly, your furry friends are especially welcome in most pubs in town.Great choice of teashops, restaurants and bars Lovely coastal views and walks.Prices can be expensive, but generally you get what you pay for.Lively on Friday and Saturday, peak months as expected July-September.Local attractions Conwy Castle, craft and food festivals, annual music festival plus Surf Snowdonia out surf wave pool.
Fabulous castle, town walls that can be walked along and sea and countryside views give the place a unique ambience and a lot to explore. P!us some galleries and two historic town to visit, it could easily take two or three days to see them all, without going further afield to Llandudno, Snowdonia, Angelsey or Bodnant Gardens.

There was so much to like. It is a great locstion, at the heart of Conwy. It was also a 20 min walk to Llandudno junction for Cineworld. So great for the castle or the half marathon start line. The owner was very friendly and helpful but also engaging. I loved my room (the orange room). It was a good size for a short stay and cosy. The breakfast had a good range of items with a great self service set up. I suspect this is where I'll try to stay every time I'm in Conwy

The location is ideal. 300 yards to pedestrian gate in the wall. Tesco less than 2 miles. Lots of storage. Nice shower. Beautiful garden. Hosts gave wonderful directions for a day drive that provided a good overview of North Wales. Encouraged our visit to Bodnant Gardens, where they volunteer. Better than advertised. Also had restaurant recommendations and made reservations for our choices.

The location over the road from the station and in the town centre. Apart from the awkward bathroon the rest of the hotel was beauifully appointed. The food was good and for a hotel the bar had a surprisingly good choice of real ale.
