Hotel in Barmouth
Set in Barmouth, 2 km from Barmouth Beach, Allibella Shepherds Hut, Amazing Seaview, Private garden, Pet Friendly offers accommodation with a garden, free private parking and a terrace. The location itself, a mile or thereabouts outside of Barmouth was good for us and although on a main road was quiet enough in the pre-Easter week for windows to be open without any compromise on sleep. There is not much space inside or outside of the unit but how much do you need for a few days? The outlook was predominantly open sea but pleasant and the bench and additional seats provide a comfortable and relaxing option for breakfast and/or an early morning cuppa. Obviously staycations are now somewhat more costly due to owners having to make up their lost revenue due to "the mong" but whilst it could be argued that the cost was high for self-catering we knew what we were getting when we booked. Interaction with the owners was nil, we simply came and went as we assumed they preferred but their (presumed) Son was pleasant when we saw him as we traversed their garden for access to the unit which was clean and tidy. Parking is "interesting" if you have a larger vehicle but owners did their best to accommodate us, altering their own positions during our stay - I assume to deliberately to make our lives easier.

Staff were really friendly and helpful Hotel was well set up - there was a dining room plus also a separate bar and also snooker and darts in another room which gave us something to do as a family when the weather was bad. Location was good - right by the Snowdonia railway, buses were also along the road which took us to Snowdonia trek starts. There were also lovely walks near the hotel plus watersports within walking distance and a slate mine very near. It was quiet with a garden facing the mountains but on the main road with food shops etc
The Fairy Falls Hotel was everything we were hoping for. The rooms are just set apart from the hotel with lots of room for parking and very easy access to the car. A spacious room, cosy room which was perfect for our stay with our dog. The pub serves delicious home cooked traditional food. The team at the Fairy Falls were so lovely and helpful, it had a very laid back atmosphere which added to the charm of this delightful hotel. Perfect place to stay while touring the Snowdonia National Park.
The people who work at Conwy Valley Hotel are very polite and helpful, our room was exceptionally clean, the food was lovely and the hotel is very well situated for exploring Snowdonia and the North Wales Coast. Aside from this, there are lots of lovely walks to do in the immediate surroundings of the hotel around the village of Tal-y-Bont. We only stayed for two days and had to come back to London because of work but I would gladly have stayed for longer. I very much recommend this hotel.
breakfast was very good and there was always what we wanted to eat.the staff were always helpful and pleasant.our room was excellent and always kept clean and tidy.the view from the room was pleasant enough as we did not spend much time in the room during the day. we would definitely stay at your hotel again as it as that continental airy open feel about it and it is handy for getting to lots of different kinds of places such as chester ,snowdonia, anglesey, and the local holiday resorts.
Machynlleth
Quaint hostel in the attic of an old house. Lots of atmosphere: the common space and garden reminded us of a yard sale! Fully equipped kitchen. Convenient small supermarket in the gas station just in front of the house. Great location to explore south Snowdonia (Cadair Idris is a 10 minutes drive away). Basic room, but we expected that. The room was clean. We did not meet the hosts but all the necessary information was provided via messages on the Booking app.
Harlech
Just fell in love with the area and the Hotel was just perfect. Everybody were so friendly, helpful and cheerful. The restaurant is amazing and breakfast was delicious - the coffee was excellent. So many places to visit and I will be going back to continue my visits of the Castles. Did a Train Ride / Trek with llama's /Walking/Relaxing and strolling along the beach and of course Snowdonia amazing.
Trefriw
A superb B&B in a beautiful location, ideal for exploring Snowdonia. The hosts, Jasmine and Stuart, are so welcoming and knowledgeable about the local attractions, we instantly felt at home. Breakfast was absolutely delicious, freshly cooked with plenty of options. There are also several choices for places to eat out in the village, we particularly enjoyed the Fairy Falls Hotel. We cant wait to return.
Betws-y-coed
The room was spacious and cozy, with everything we might want or need. The owners had adapted to the post-COVID limitations brilliantly and had devised a great system of replenishing toiletries, towels etc and it all made for an amazing stay. Also, the hotel is in a great location within the village and also within Snowdonia itself. I’ll definitely be staying there again.
This Hotel is in a great location on the outskirts of a small town, Llanberis, in an unbelievable setting in Snowdonia, Wales. Easy to find with good parking, the Hotel was well laid out with excellent, friendly and helpful staff. The Hotel is near to all the facilities that Llanberis can offer including easy access to Snowdon itself.
The place is located on a blessed part of South Snowdonia. The hotel is great with amazing staff, props to Kieran who was wonderful throughout and such as hard-working man. The hosts are amazing. The rooms need a little refurbishing but that is overcompensated by the service and the lovely location. All in all an amazing 5-day stay.
Llanberis
Hotel was in a great location , easy access to local amenities. Very nice rooms and plenty of tea coffee & snacks . Bathroom nice and much was much needed after a wet day on snowdonia. Owner helped us out with jump leads after problem with vehicle. Thanks again for a great stay under trying times for the hotel industry.
Beautiful Country House Hotel in a stunning location. We upgraded to a superior room and had a beautiful view of the mountains of Snowdonia. The breakfast was superb with excellent choices. Yes it has a short steep driveway to the House but this was not an issue for us - would definitely recommend a stay here.
Set in a good location with easy access to several places of interest. Good walking area. Easy access to Snowdonia. Hotel being refurbished so we look forward to visiting again in future. Staff pleasant, friendly and helpful. New chef prepared excellent meals. Bar meals also good.
