At the foot of Mount Snowdon, the Royal Victoria Hotel is cradled between Lakes Llyn Padarn and Llyn Peries. Bedrooms have baths and showers and satellite TVs. One of the loveliest hotels I've ever stayed in. Despite being in an older building (with creaky floors), each room was immaculate and modern. The food was great, the service was great, the bar was great. I admit I chose this hotel because there is a ruined castle just behind it (!) and it's very close to the Snowdon Mountain Railway, but the hotel is fantastic in it's own right too. Huge carpark, no lack of spaces.
Surrounded by Snowdonia National Park, the Padarn Hotel is situated in the village of Llanberis at the foot of Snowdon, 100m from Padarn Lake and is 500 metres from the Snowdon Mountain Railway. The staff were very helpful and friendly nothing was too much trouble very pleasant break
Situtated at the foot of Mount Snowdon, The Lake View Hotel is surrounded by woodland and features rooms overlooking Lake Padarn. Extremely happy with our stay. The staff were super friendly and helped us when we needed. The room was very nice and comfortable. The food was absolutely amazing! It was the first time I actually really enjoyed my dinner. I cannot recommend this accommodation highly enough!
Placed at the foot of Snowdon Mountain, the YHA Snowdon Pen-y-Pass is surrounded by stunning Welsh landscape in a rural location, with no mobile phone signal - offering guests a break from technology....
600 metres from Snowdon Mountain Railway, Dolafon Guest House is located in Llanberis and features rooms with free WiFi. The location is very close - within easy walking distance to all Llanberis activities. The owners are lovely and very accommodating and helpful. I would very much recommend the Dolafon guest house.
Beech Bank B&B is a bed and breakfast located in Llanberis at the foot of Mount Snowdon. Great location on the high street, very friendly and helpful host Annie and the breakfast was intend "exceptional". They also arranged a taxi for us to head to the pen y pass car park to start the trek. V. Comfortable and modern rooms and I'd definitely recommend.
Snowdon View, Llanberis, a property with a garden, is located in Caernarfon, 12 km from Caernarfon Castle. Guests may enjoy free WiFi. Great location just off the main street in Llanberis. V. comfortable beds, well equipped and clean.

Beautiful scenery and places of interest. Next visit will be later in the year when the Snowdon train is running and others places are open but it is a beautiful place all year round for walking and seeing the beautiful Welsh countryside. Everybody was so friendly and said good morning in the streets it was just a really lovely place to be. Some great cafes I went to Pete's eats twice such a great cafe.
Our recent trip was in the snow, just as we wanted it. Amazing sightings!! The mountains and walks close to Llanberis are just incredible. We normally stay at The Royal Victoria Hotel when staying in Llanberis. The Indian Restuarant in town has amazing food if you like Indian and they do take away as well.
A lovely town lots of walking and water avtivities. Only walked Snowdon which for a novice was hard. I would recommend the lower path that does not have the steepest gradient. It was a great challenge. We did reach the top. It was treacherous. The high winds made it more difficult. I believe it was -6 at the top with the wind..0
We came for a stay to do the Zip world wire located down the road. It was my birthday so didn't fancy a 'premier inn' style hotel. For a little extra money the Royal Victoria Hotel really made the trip feel like treat. Quiet, well organised luxury. Food at the hotel had excellent choice in the restaurant or bar. The local village has plenty to. If we had stayed longer would have liked to eat around.
Perfect for seeing the lake, waterfall and mountains. Few castles and museums nearby also. Not so great for the choices of places to eat and in winter not many shops open, and both the lake railway and mountain railway are closed. We took a 5 min drive to a local cosy pub in Llanrug which was perfect.
We came here in the summer and there was lots to do. We managed to squeeze a lot into a few days but didn’t manage to do everything we had hoped. We were there for 4 days over the summer. This time (beginning of November) we were here for 3 days.we did the things we hadn’t had time to do last time but apart from walking there wasn’t much to do at the time of year. We had a pretty bad storm as well so didn’t go up into the mountains. We ate at the local chip shop as we were keeping costs down but did go to The Pantri as a treat for a coffee and slice of delicious cake. During the summer months Snowdon Railway, Railway Lake Tour and Electric Mountain Tour are open which are all fantastic. Dolbadarn Castle is great and accessible all year round as are the mine remnants behind the LakeRailway Tour track. Lake View Hotel is about a 20 minute walk from from the centre of Llanberis. Bangor is a 1 hour bus ride and there is a bus stop literally outside the hotel so no need to walk into Llanberis if you want to go to Bangor. There is a bus stop opposite the Railway Lake Tour to go to Llanberis and Caernarfon.

It was very friendly and helpful. It was very clean and cosy feeling and it was lovely that there was a bath and shower. I only stayed one night as I needed somewhere to stay to walk up Snowdon the next day. It is perfectly located for that the start of the Llanberis path is about a 2 min walk from here

We had two rooms on the top floor which were big and airy with nice bathrooms. The staff were very friendly. We enjoyed our dinner in the bistro and the Llanberis path up Snowdon starts just along the road from the hotel.

Loved the peace and serenity. Fruit cake and a bottle of wine left to welcome us. Super comfy beds. Very relaxing and so close to Llanberis. 5 minute drive to Snowdon Mountain Railway. Wish we had booked a longer stay. Very deserving of it's booking.com rating!
