Not for me.Town run down, struggled to find something to eat tried a few places, need reservations. Two places we went to eat staff very rude no help what so ever or warm welcome felt very uncomfortable so gave up. Not much to see or any nice walks. Castle beautiful loved it but certain parts under repair so scaffolding etc. wouldn’t go again to Caernarfon. Conway or Harlech are much friendlier and way more beautiful.
Small enough to walk around in a couple of hours. Good range of shops, both in the town and the out-of-town shopping areas. Sightseeing of the castle is also great, especially if you are an English Heritage member as they accept your card and you get in for free. The people there are genuinely nice, and there is plenty to do on dry days. Not so sure that they cope with wet days as well though as we had perfect weather. Do take a ride on the Welsh Highland Railway if you can. It's not cheap but a beautiful ride through Snowdonia. All in all, a lovely town to visit
We landed lucky that it fell on the food & festival weekend so lots going on. But the town without this is still really lovely and the castle is worth a visit, its also right by the water so lovely views and plenty of places to eat & drink.
Fantastic base for day trips to Snowdonia which is a must do The castle is amazing The town itself needs an injection of tourism and support. Maybe it has been due to Covid but it needs some beautifying drastically The lanes going up to the castle are worth a visit. Some quirky places to eat and pubs.
Lovely walks along Menai Straights with great views. Fabulous castle to visit. Both the Wetherspoons and the Anglesey pubs had superb beers and a good choice of food. Good bus service to plenty of places of interest and handy for Snowdonia and Anglesey if you have a car. Also start of Welsh Highland Railway and various boat trips.
We just went for the afternoon and it was nice and leisurely. Looked around the castle and walked by the sea, then scouted the lovely town. Very enjoyable and the castle is so well maintained, very impressed
The location was the best we could ask for: in Castle Square, few meters from the Caernarfon castle, the old city centre and the sea. The staff has been kind and helpful all the time. The small room spaces were nicely organized and decorated giving a homely feeling that we appreciated. We were generally satisfied with the cleanliness of both the room and the ensuite bathroom, even though the room felt a bit dusty. The stay in this hotel was anyway really worthy the (not too high) price.
Caernarfon
Breakfast entirely satisfactory. Location superb aswe wre attending a function at tthe Celtic Royal Hotel some 50 yards next door but one away. The llittle details in our bedroom were quite unexpected, coffee and tea making facilities, shampoos and toiletries usually found in 4 or 5 star hotels, linen not paper serviettes all addedto avery pleasurable experience.
The hotel is very well placed, just a short walk into the town centre and the castle. It has an upmarket feel and is extremely plush, well decorated and clean. It has a good atmosphere. The breakfast was very good and the staff were attentive and polite. I guess they must have been quite uncomfortable with face masks on all the while.
Caernarfon
A lovely comfortable and clean property, with good amenities and little extras (milk, crisps, welsh cakes, tea/coffee & cereal!) in an excellent location to explore Caernarfon and Snowdonia. We really enjoyed our stay here, would definitely recommend and will be back if I find myself in North Wales again! Thank you so much.

After spending the day walking mount Snowdon, it was a relief to have one of the most comfortable beds I've ever slept in! And added bonus was the delicious breakfast the morning after. Lovely b&b, I'd recommend to anyone looking for somewhere to stay in Caernarfon.
Very warm welcome in gorgeous Edwardian bed and breakfast hotel. Felt transported to another time. Comfortable King size bed, nice amenities, and huge towels. We got a last minute deal, which included a continental breakfast, which was more than enough. Lovely place.
Caernarfon
Our room was in the roof space with sky lights giving excellent views of Caernarfon and the Menai straight. It was just like a small flat with lounge area landing and bathroom , we were next to the castle wall. Continental breakfast and facilities were excellent
The location is really nice. The restaurants, river and bus stop are just short walk from the hotel. The room is spacious and bright and there are sanitizers at the entrance and hallway. Looking forward to go back in Wales and Llety Arall in the future.
Great location within the city wall. Parking convenient. Room was clean. Staff was friendly. Great walking environment with castle close by. Very secure building and safe environment. Lots of restaurants close by.
