I liked the tranquility and informality of the setting, amazing views and the friendly and helpful reception staff.
The accommodation I had was simple, comfortable and functional. The shared showers and toilets were very clean and again functional.
There was a good range of vegetarian and organic breakfast items to choose from, although no cooked food as far as I was aware. Perhaps this would have been on request.
Overall, I loved the calm, relaxed and gentle setting. Perfect for meditation of any kind.

Beautiful walled town. The castle, the marina and the Welsh highland railway are great places to visit. There are also some nice little independent shops and many good places to eat. There is also recreation/activity centres locally or nearby. I also used it to get to other towns and villages that have worse or more expensive accommodation, like Conwy or towns in Anglesey, Snowdonia.

A small town centre, with a few independent shops and a pretty quayside. The castle is attractive and imposing, dominating the scene. A few nice eating and drinking establishments, but many places - including the castle - don't permit dogs, which is both disappointing and rather short sighted these days.
The pub right by the sea was really quite poor, but had the views. The Old Courthouse was a hidden gem with delicious food and lovely setting. Prebooking tables seems essential in all places.
Caernarfon is not far from Anglesey which is worth a visit for walks and scenery, beautiful views all round. Plus a surprisingly pleasant pier at nearby Bangor.

The waterfront and portion of the town enclosed within the castle wall were nice. Once you exit the castle walls, there were a couple of areas where small groups of males were engaged in anti-social behaviour. While they were in the minority, their presence really brought down the image of the town. The commercial areas outside the castle wall could benefit from signage standards.

The castle and old town are amazing. The views across to Anglesey were breathtaking, especially at sunset.
Everything you need is close by and there are lots of places to visit - castle, marina, smallest pub in Wales. Along with plenty of pubs, restaurants and cafes.
I use a walker and had no problem getting around. The castle is in the process of fitting a lift inside one of the towers, so anyone with mobility issues will be able to access the upper areas.

The castle was amazing, we could have spent longer there but wanted to fit in other sightseeing.
We were self-catering but there were lots of places to eat which seemed very attractive.
The town is not too large to get about on foot but I suspect most people would prefer the area around the castle and quays.

Castle interesting and views across to Anglesey beautiful at sunset. Walled town attractive though some of the outer parts a bit run down. Seems a lively place with a buzzing Friday evening social scene. Eating places mostly offering pub grub rather than local produce.(Ok if you like chips)
The property was delightful. The hotel gave us an upgrade to a garden suite, which was very generous. The reception, bar area, lounge and dining room where very tastefully decorated. All very comfortable. The food was exceptional. My wife had the scallops which were the best she had ever had, and my guinea fowl was perfect. The hotel has a varied and not overpriced wine menu. All in all, I wouldn’t hesitate to stay there again.
Location is excellent for touring around North Wales and a 15 minute walk into Caernarfon and great views over the Menai straits. Accommodation was clean and very well equiped, everything you needed was available. The owners had left a very nice welcome pack which included a bottle of wine, chocolates, butter, bread, milk, biscuits, cake and even some flowers on the dining table.
The Location is excellent 5 minute walk to the centre of Caernarfon The pool was perfect as it was not to deep or to busy and all the staff where very pleasant The hotel represents good value for money as we paid less than one of those discount hotel chains
Wonderful stay at Caernarfon. House was clean and tidy. Excellent location to visit North wales. Margaret was very helpful and check in and check out East. Would highly recommend.
