The castle is a standout attraction, for only £9.50 you can tour the entire castle grounds and the museum, which can take a few hours and the views are great. The bars around the area are nice but not very busy at the time we visited
We stayed as a base for walking in snow Donica National Park however Caernarfon is a nice place to spend a day or two. Town has port and coast , castle and steam train line. Recommended as accommodation more comfortable than that in the park for a family
Great hotel The Black Boy Inn all amenities top class friendly staff who couldnt do enough for you. What a castle worth the visit alone. The Bengali restaurant great food and definitely value for money.
Love Caernarfon Visit the castle a must A nice lot of quality shops to wander around Then lunch in the Weatherspoon pub just around the corner from the hotel Reasonable prices and good food We walked all around Caernarfon did nt need a taxi
Lovely pubs friendly staff, excellent restaurants great not to eat in ‘chained eateries’ quaint shops. Definitely worth a visit. Would recommend Ty Coz and Villa Marina was amazing, fabulous food!
Caernarfon is a seaside town in North Wales with a great history to be a port for the slate exportation in the past. The Caernafon castle is in the heart of the city and its hosted the last Prince of wales coronation in 1969. It has a few thing to do as Snowdonia is just a stroll away. Nice restaurants are in the town centre. Italian, greek, english and welsh food can be tasted over there. The train station nearby to the Castle can provide good routes and there is a possibility to go to other place in North wales and Snowdonia.

Fantastic place to stay if you’re planning to walk Snowdon or the surrounding area. Caernarfon Castle was a perfect place to visit too. There’s a lovely vibe in this beautiful town, lots of choice for places to eat and plenty to see. The staff were friendly and accommodating; the family room spacious and comfortable. Parking was available at the harbour just a few minutes walk from the hostel. We really felt welcomed to the bunkhouse and would definitely stay again.

Perfect location for area. Room small (as advertised) but had loads of extras I would have only expected in a more upmarket hotel. Chilled water and Fresh milk for tea in fridge. Free Afternoon cake and coffee in lounge. Bathrobes and slippers. Usual Toiletries including face wipes and earplugs. Excellent fresh breakfast. Helpful owners. Would definitely stay again.

We had a fantastic peaceful stay at Plas Eryr, the apartment was well equipped, toasty warm and spotless. Our dog joined us and was very very happy with the underfloor heating. Views and the location were perfect, quite rural but within 10-15 min driving distance of both Caernarfon and Bangor, with plenty of nice restaurants and things to see.

The breakfast staff was very nice and accommodating. Very convenient to the Castle and restaurants . Had a small sitting room. It was a very nice place to stay but I feel that to get an “excellent “ rating a property must go above and beyond the usual.

Location close to the castle was great! Warm greeting was particularly appreciated as we were seeking refuge from hurricane Ophelia! The hotel itself is a beautifully renovated listed property and the rooms were impeccably clean.

The property was clean, had a great restaurant and very friendly staff. Couldn't use the leisure facilities, but the hotel could very easily pass for a £100+ a night kind of place!
