Location was perfect, absolutely central in town and close to bars and restaurants. We ate at The Black Boy Inn in the evening and food was delicious, with good vegetarian choices. Caernarfon is a lovely town to visit, plenty of places to eat and drink. It is a proper lived in town, with locals living a stones throw from the center. There is a lovely harbour, and a castle to visit.
Caernarfon is quite a nice place to stay in Wales. We enjoyed a lovely Indian meal on our last night at the Bengal Spice restaurant. We visited the castle (rude entrance staff) and watched an interesting video about it on a large round screen.
Caernarfon is famous for its Castle and history. You can walk around the walls and view the estuary and is very pleasant to sit in the evening and watch the sunset. There are plenty of pubs and cafes and some very interesting old streets.
Lovely area, boat trips, steam train trips, pubs, restaurants, walks, lovely shops . Recommend Black Boy Inn for rooms food and ambience, Villa Marina for great food and value for money. It may be difficult for people with walking difficulties, but compared to other castle towns this area is not too bad with time and care. Loved every minute!
Caernarfon is a great central location for touring all parts of Wales. We had a specific reason to visit Holy Head and this was very useful location as the accommodation options nearer were not as good. We then went on to visit a lot of other places and had a wonderful time. The hotel was marvellous and the location could not have been better. We enjoyed the very scenic regions and the historical sites immensely
we found the location to be excellent for exploring this part of north wales, we were blessed with great weather. Whilst the town itself maybe a little disappointing for a UNESCO World Heritage location, everyone was very friendly and we will go back again.
We really enjoyed our return visit to the Black Boy Inn and our suite with kitchenette gave us great flexibility as we explored the Llyn Penninsula. Breakfasts in the hotel were excellent with enough variety for us and freshly cooked ingredients. We thoroughly enjoyed the evening meal we chose to have - the restaurant had an extensive menu with a local flavour. The staff were friendly and efficient. There is plenty to do and see both in the town and the wider locality so the whole experience was of a relaxing break.
Caernarfon
A great find, we booked this the night before we travelled and have been very impressed. The hotel is in a great location for exploaring North Wales. The hotel staff are very friendly and accommodating, we'd like to give a special mention to the assistant manager who was fantastic! He made us feel very welcome and had lots of knowledge of the area. The food is incredible here, definitely not what we were expecting, it made our stay even more special. The rooms were very clean and the bed comfortable.
Caernarfon
Breakfast, you pre-order exactly what you want and is cooked to perfection. Family run place in a quiet area of Caernarfon but it's a stones throw from the Harbour , the town centre & the Castle. I booked this place because the reviews were great and it didn't disappoint. Although they don't have a car park they provide an excellent guide to where you can park and it's completely free as they also provide a Parking Pass. Place is very clean and decorated so well and tastefully.
Caernarfon
Self-catering so we sorted out our own breakfast. Really nice as we could get up whatever time we wanted to without any pressure. Loved the cosy yet roomy main room. Just the two of us, very snug and comfortable. Lovely cooking area with everything you need for self-catering. Car parked outside the front door and beautiful views from the lounge window. And only 10 mins drive from Caernarfon centre. Fish and Chips were really great!
Caernarfon
The location was stunning , I'm so glad we stopped there rather than a hotel. To sit out on the decking and have a drink overlooking the fields was so peaceful. I would 100% stop here again. There is a big lounge area with a nice big fireplace with a log burner. The post code did take us to a location slightly away from the farm but a quick call to Gareth and we got there straight away. Many thanks Gareth for being a great host.
Caernarfon
Breakfast entirely satisfactory. Location superb aswe wre attending a function at tthe Celtic Royal Hotel some 50 yards next door but one away. The llittle details in our bedroom were quite unexpected, coffee and tea making facilities, shampoos and toiletries usually found in 4 or 5 star hotels, linen not paper serviettes all addedto avery pleasurable experience.

Staff, food, location, history and set up of the hotel…everything was just fabulous! Staff was very tentative and respectful, some even going the extra mile for us without us asking.
Loved the location everything is accessable to the hotel. Staff were friendly. Tea and coffee facilities ... Would of preferred bigger cups but not an issue
