Truly spectacular this time of year with all the azaleas and rhododendrons in full bloom and the blue haze of native bluebells everywhere you look. Just slightly too early to enjoy the full impact of the Laburnum Walk, just the first couple of feet were in bloom but it gave a taste of what was to come. We have visited the last three years and have never yet been disappointed.
Go there! This is by far the best (and only the best out of hundreds) National Trust property I've been to. However, you need a day to do the vast area justice, and the garden centre will ensure that you don't leave empty handed! All of the cafés here are excellent 😁
Different plants per season. Could spend all day. Take a picnic or eat there. Plenty of grass areas, picnic opportunities and seats around the site. Clear map given and all areas link so you can decide how far you want to walk.
