We look after our cottages and our guests personally and are on-call throughout your stay should you need any help or advice.

Carpenters Cottage is a stone built cottage situated at the very heart of the delightful village of Elton, with views across to Robin Hood Stride. Centrally located in a beautiful part of the Peak District National Park, this is an ideal location for exploring on foot with lovely walks from the doorstep, or riding a bike through the many quiet lanes and footpaths of the area. This cottage is full of character and includes a log burning stove for those cosy nights in! Pets are welcome – please note that this cottage does not have any outdoor space – but there are numerous short and long walks available from the door. You must ensure that your dog is well-behaved, remains downstairs (or within designated areas) and off the furniture at all times. You must never leave your dog alone in the cottage.

Elton sits high up on the limestone plateau near to the Limestone Way, a long-distance ancient trade route which lies just to the east of the village, and the many footpaths leading to and from Elton make it a popular place for hikers. Nearby Bakewell is also extremely popular with visitors and offers a good selection of shops, pubs and restaurants as well as a frequent local market There are good bus links between the Peak District towns and villages but to get to the more remote areas a car is desirable.
