Chance Cottage is a picture postcard cottage built in traditional Yorkshire stone, bursting with character and situated in the sought after village of East Witton on the edge of Wensleydale. Masham, around a 15 minute drive, famous for its breweries, Theakstons offering brewery tours, and Black Sheep visitor centre has an extensive bar and popular restaurant. For something a little different you can book a Gin experience, creating your very own Gin at The Spirit of Masham. The beautiful city of Ripon is around a 30 minute drive away. The historic Ripon Cathedral hosts a full calendar of events, Nearby National Trust Fountains Abbey and Studley Royal offer a lovely day out. A half hour drive North is Richmond, a thriving market town, eateries aplenty, with its very own castle. Richmond Castle, boasts spectacular views overlooking the fast flowing river Swale, The Georgian Theatre Royal, the oldest working theatre in its original form and The Green Howards Museum; the fascinating story of this distinguished regiment.
