Boasting more than 600 listed 17th and 18th century buildings, including five medieval churches, it became the first conservation area in 1967. The world-famous Burghley House which hosts the Burghley Horse Trials in September each year, attracting visitors from all over the world, is just a short walk away. Stamford has been named as the best place to live in the Midlands, according to The Sunday Times, which described the picturesque Lincolnshire town as “architectural eye candy”. Stamford is a bustling, prosperous, market town that sits on the River Welland, with a wide range of shops, hostelries and attractions. It is also the perfect base for visiting Rutland Water, whether for a picturesque walk or to enjoy its water sports and bird watching facilities. The house is two minutes' walk from the quaint local railway station, Stamford Meadows and the long-term carpark at the bottom of the road. It has a private parking space at the back, unrestricted street parking at the front and is five minutes' walk from the high street, bus station and Burghley House park.
