This is my London home, a really pretty garden flat. It’s not fancy (boho not Belgravia) but clean, cosy and comfy and personal. I clear plenty of space in the wardrobes and marked the drawers for guests but because this is my home you will find my stuff as well! The private garden at the back is a real treasure, a haven away from the hurly burly outside. Parkway is Camden's music street and is also just five minutes walk from the famous Camden Market and from the peace and beauty of Regent’s Park. This a really brilliant base to explore Camden and London. A basement flat, it has its own private entrance. The first bedroom is at the front, there is a very comfortable double divan bed with top quality pocket sprung mattress. (I've made space in wardrobes and top drawers but you\ll also find there's lots of my stuff around.) The bathroom is next door with bath/shower, toilet and hand basin. The second larger bedroom is next to with glorious super comfortable foam mattress. At the back there is a light, airy sitting room/diner/kitchen area with French windows leading to the garden. There's a projector,Fire TV & 100 ins screen. The kitchen is fully equipped with coffee machine, induction hob, cooker, microwave, dishwasher and washing/drying machine.

Hello - welcome to my place. I'm an ex BBC ex Discovery Channel, ex climate change and the media researcher/producer/ currently I'm working on a book about what goes on at the end of the line tube stations. I love my Camden flat dearly and I also love sharing it with guests who appreciate a personal space and who will enjoy the space I've made. The flat has been a labour of love over the past few months, decorating, finding furniture and rugs, bringing my book collection from my other home in Devon. Almost every week I add something - a piece of art, a mirror, a mug. Most everything in the flat has been sourced not from stores but from private sellers across London. Where possible I try to avoid buying new things - partly for environmental reasons, partly because it is much more interesting to go to meet someone and bring the goodies home. The key thing is that I want you to have the pleasure of staying in my home - rather than a hotel room. But do remember this is my home, not a hotel or corporate rental, so it is personal with lots of my stuff around - which I hope you will enjoy.

Camden Town is one of those bits of London that has kept much the same character since I first lived here in the 1960's. It's a raffish, messy sort of a place - there are some posh very posh streets up by Primrose Hill but the main drag around the tube station is wild and wooly. Parkway is a busy street full of small shops, cafes bars and music venues. It runs between the noisy mess of Camden Town and serene elegance of Regent's Park with its magnificent Regency period mansions. For music lovers the Jazz Cafe is at the Tube station end and the Green Note and Dublin Castle at the other. The latter are just a couple of door either side of my flat. Also minutes walk from my flat are a small supermarket, an excellent traditional greengrocers and a quite large organic foodstore. All the above also sell wines and other alcoholic drinks. Directly opposite my flat is the very excellent Coffee Jar coffee shot which serves great coffee and pastries, there are a few tables inside and outside. Just down the street from my place is One Shot Coffee another small independent place with seating in the back.
