Dean Village is a tranquil and picturesque district set right in the heart of Edinburgh, alongside the Water of Leith River. Guests who stay here adore the Old World charm, peaceful tranquility and proximity to Edinburgh's Old and New Town. The area is less only a short walk from numerous attractions and sites including Edinburgh Castle, the Museum of Scotland, the Royal Mile, Royal Botanic Gardens and Princes Street. There are bus, tram and rail links located a stone's throw from the property as well as Hire Bikes available. Edinburgh's Dean Village is steeped in history, first mentioned in King David I's founding charter of Holyrood Abbey, usually dated c.1145. The property itself was originally a mill until c1820 when it was converted into three residential flats by a builder, an architect and a financier. The area remained a separate village until the 19th century.
