Gunn Cottage is a tranquil, ground-level self-catering getaway situated in the idyllic hamlet of Santon Bridge within the captivating Wasdale region of England's Lake District National Park. Ideal for two guests, this gorgeous one-bedroom cottage has recently been refurbished while retaining many of the original features, such as the exposed beams. It offers a spacious king-size double bed. Plus, your furry friend will feel right at home since it's pet-friendly! Open-plan kitchen, dining & living area with log-burner and 50" TV equipped with Google Chromecast. Bathroom with a shower in the bath and a lovely double bedroom. Enclosed lawn garden. Local pub Bridge Inn is a short stroll away from the cottage, where you will find a great choice of food options. 3 Dogs are permitted.

This idyllic region offers a unique blend of dramatic fells, tranquil lakes and peaceful hamlets. Wasdale is home to the highest mountain in England, Scafell Pike, Wastwater – England’s deepest lake – and the magnificent Wasdale Head Inn. Gunn Cottage is a short drive from Ravenglass & Eskdale Railway Station, Muncaster Castle and the Lakeland Bird of Prey Centre, giving you plenty to explore nearby! The area also offers excellent walking opportunities with routes ranging from gentle lakeside strolls to more demanding mountain hikes, so there's something for everyone to enjoy. If you feel like getting out of the National Park and venturing further afield, Gunn Cottage is only an hour away from bustling Windermere and Bowness. Here you can while away your time wandering along the lakefront or take in the views at Brockhole Visitor Centre. You'll also find plenty of shops, restaurants and cafes to explore in the local towns.
