Small semi rural village. There are many walks straight from the front door. The village has a very well stocked shop, which is open 7 days a week, early till late. & a great pub, with well looked after beers & they offer pizzas Thursday to Sunday. & Holmfirth is 7 minutes by car, where there is a good choice of restaurants, bars & coffee shops. There is also a local vineyard who offer tours, & has a restaurant. & of course the home of “Last of the summer wine”. There is no vehicular access to the property, the lane is too narrow & no where to turn around. On free street parking is available on St. George’s road below or above on Cherry tree walk. There is a bus service to holmfirth, nearest bus stop is by the pub, 2 minutes walk. & plenty of taxis available.
