Information correct at the time of writing Winterborne Whitechurch is situated in the Winterborne Valley at the point where the stream intersects the road between Dorchester and Blandford Forum which lies five miles to the north. There are numerous quaint villages all around including Milton Abbas, Milborne St Andrew, and Dewlish, and it's only 16 miles from the Jurassic Coast World Heritage Site where you will find some breath-taking scenery, beautiful beaches and fantastic walks. Enjoy a day trip to Lulworth Cove and Durdle Door, where you will have much to enjoy for a memorable holiday. The county town of Dorchester is approx a 15 minute drive away with its large selection of shops, restaurants, cafes, museums and two cinemas - National Trust properties nearby include Max Gate, Hardy's Cottage and Clouds Hill. Enjoy some great family time at Monkey World or the Tank Museum, at Bovington with its thrilling live displays. The Isle of Purbeck, with Corfe Castle, Stoborough Heath, Studland and Swanage is perfect for a family day out. The Swanage Railway offers a more intensive heritage steam and diesel timetable train service than virtually any other preserved railway, and is well worth a visit.
