Located in Rye Harbour, just a stone's throw from the bustling town of Rye, May's House beckons with its cosy interiors and picturesque surroundings. Step into the warm living room with a wood burner creating an inviting retreat in the evenings. The modern extension reveals a fully equipped kitchen, a dining area, and an additional seating area, all bathed in natural light and another wood burner. French doors open onto a private patio, an idyllic spot for enjoying morning coffee or afternoon cocktails. A charming summerhouse provides a tranquil haven for quiet contemplation or a home office. Upstairs, two double bedrooms and a spacious shower room await. The first bedroom is at the front of the cottage, while the second bedroom, located at the top of the stairs, exudes a bright and welcoming ambiance. For nature enthusiasts, May's House serves as an ideal base to explore the wonders of Rye Harbour Nature Reserve, just a five-minute stroll away. Street parking directly outside the cottage and a convenient cycle path into Rye make exploring the area a breeze. We accept one well behave dog but a small fee applies. We do make rare exceptions if you wish to bring more than one dog so please always ask.

Rye Harbour is a unique village with a stunning nature reserve, a pebbly beach, and a friendly pub. Great cafe at the Discovery Centre on the nature reserve and two further cafes within easy walking distance of the cottage. The pretty town of Rye is 3 miles away and easily walked or cycled. Camber Sands is about 5 miles and the seaside town of Hastings is about a 25-minute drive. A great base for exploring East Sussex
