For walkers and mountain bikers alike, Bodmin Moor is just six miles away with it’s dramatic tors and breathtaking rural landscapes.

The Location Merlins is just a stones throw from the historic town of Tintagel. The name of Tintagel immediately conjures images of King Arthur and the legends associated with him. The ruins of the 3th Century Tintagel Castle brood over the coast and can be seen to the right of the property when looking out. Merlins Cottage is situated down a quiet farm track that has very little traffic with only the few other houses on the lane using the track itself. Merlins is situated along the coast just in front of the village of Treknow and just along the coast from the popular beach, Trebarwith Strand. The neighbourhood The house is located in rural countryside, surrounded by beautiful scenery with plenty of hiking routes along the SW Coast Path. Just a short walk or drive away, the closest dog-friendly pub is The Mill Inn at Trebarwith, serving hearty meals and local tipples. In the morning you can stroll over to Tintagel for coffee and a croissant in one of the many cafes incuding Charlie's and The Cornish Bakery. For the avid golfers, tee off with a view at the famous St Enodoc Golf Club. The club occupies a stunning location in Rock on Cornwall’s rugged north coast. The Club is situated alongside the Camel estuary, with picturesque Padstow on the far side, the Atlantic to the north. It sits amongst glorious, natural sand dunes with wonderful seaside views. If you are feeling more adventurous, head off for a surf at the Polzeath or try some sailing in nearby Rock. From there you can hop on a ferry for a spot of lunch in Padstow. Meanwhile, the village of Boscastle is about 10 minutes away and has lovely range of shops and cafes. The Boscastle Farm Shop is defintely worth a visit with its wonderful views of the sea and open countryside and a delicious menu to choose from.
