Hillside Stables is a separate annexed building, to the main house, a hidden period gem with spectacular gardens. This Grade II listed home and family house, dates back to 1715 with some extensions c.1820. The owners have recently renovated the separate old stables building to build a mezzanine king-sized bed deck and shower room in this completely separate private annex with its own entrance.

The Old Stables is by a main road and only a few minutes’ walk downhill to the endearing small village of Westbury-on-Trym which boasts all the amenities you might need – from banks, grocery stores, post office, bakery, opticians, churches, and other local shops and businesses. It also has many takeaways, restaurants, pubs and coffee shops catering for all tastes. We are on the cusp of Durdham Downs, Badocks Woods and Blaise Castle Estate with plenty of space to run or explore. Should you wish to explore or work further afield, we are 2 minutes' walk away from a bus stop. If you jump on in one direction, you can travel as far as Bristol Temple Meads railway station (and reach the historic city of Bath in a short journey), via all the main attractions of Bristol City Centre, its theatres, restaurants and other attractions. In the other direction, you’ll head out to Cribbs Causeway shopping mall, retail park, cinema, bowling and ice-rink. We are also close to motorway networks M4 and M5, Hospitals and many local large businesses. You may, of course, prefer just to tuck up in the Stables with a good book, or to use our orchard garden for a cuppa or glass of wine to end the day.
