The space I am very excited to welcome guests to my cosy traditional 200 year old cottage in the pretty village of West Marden. Nestled in the beautiful South Downs, there are stunning views and lovely walks, straight from the property, and a pub located close by for some post-walk refreshments! The cottage sleeps up to 6 guests (one king and two double bedrooms) and has two bathrooms (one ensuite shower room and one family bathroom with bath and separate shower). Ground Floor Entrance hallway leads to the open plan kitchen-diner and stairs leading up to the first floor. The kitchen-diner is a lovely large room, with a range cooker, butler sink and plenty of worktop space. The dining table seats six and is lovely and bright due to the large window overlooking the pretty garden, and the stable door, offering access to the back garden. Beside the dining table, you step up into the large, yet cosy sitting room, with two large sofas, armchair and window seats overlooking the garden. Please note there is no working fire at the property, and the logs and woodburner are Important: We are committed to protecting our properties which is why we've partnered with Know Your Guest, the leading vacation rental guest-screening provider. Please note that before your booking begins, you will need to verify your details and ID through Know Your Guest. You will also be given the choice between paying a refundable deposit or buying a non-refundable damage waiver. West Marden is a pretty Downland village, in the heart of the South Downs. With fabulous walking in the South Downs National Park right on the doorstep, and plenty of local village pubs to try, it is also just 20 minutes from the Roman town of Chichester with its cobbled pedestrian shopping streets, cathedral, Novium Museum and Pallant House Gallery. Chichester is part of Chichester Harbour with its pretty harbour villages of Bosham, Birdham, Itchenor, Dell Quay and Emsworth. West Marden is also just 30 minutes from Historic Portsmouth. It is also a great base from whcih to attend one of the events held at Goodwood, famous for its horse and motor racing events in the year.
