'Explorers Base Camp' is located in picturesque Church Stretton, known as 'Little Switzerland!' It is the perfect base for cyclists & walkers, or for those just to enjoy the beautiful scenery. We have an amazing space outside with a covered decked area that overlooks our beautiful wildlife garden with views of Caer Caradoc, which you can enjoy whatever the weather. It's a wonderful place to sit and relax! If you'd rather be inside, then our cosy lounge in front of the log burner is for you. Our home is rather quirky, cosy and we love the fact that the hub of the house has been designed to bring the outdoors in, with a spacious kitchen/dining area, leading out to a covered veranda overlooking the wonderful delights of the wildlife garden and outside bar. Where you can sit day or night, relax and enjoy the outdoors. Our log burner sits between both sides of the house for those chillier evenings and is great for warming up downstairs In the lounge, we do also have a sofa bed, please let us know if you are planning on using, so we can ensure there is linen. For those who like a little TV, we have one in the lounge with Sky but we'll let you find it. Outside we have storage for bikes. Important: We are committed to protecting our properties which is why we've partnered with Know Your Guest, the leading vacation rental guest-screening provider. Please note that before your booking begins, you will need to verify your details and ID through Know Your Guest. You will also be given the choice between paying a refundable deposit or buying a non-refundable damage waiver. We suggest you buy the damage waiver as this protects you in case you cause accidental damage during a booking.

Church Stretton is a lovely little market town, with lots of good restaurants, good pubs, specialist shops and a regular Thursday market! A lovely friendly place to be! 5 mins and you're in an area of outstanding beauty, Shropshire hills and the lovely Carding Mill Valley The Shropshire Way passes past our home! Perfect for walkers, cyclists and if you prefer to just to enjoy the scenery and wildlife. Train station is 2 minutes walk from house - perfect for a visit to Shrewsbury or Ludlow and links to all major transport links! Ideal for travellers without a car! Local buses A fabulous shuttle bus (summer months) which will take you over the Long Mynd (and to the famous Bridges Pub!- near the Stiper Stones) and surrounding areas.
