Property info

The house has a stunning open plan kitchen area with bifold doors for access to our garden. The garden is south facing and has a large deck area for eating outside or just relaxing in the sun. There is also a large dining table. The upstairs of the house consists of three bedrooms, one with a king size bed, the other with a double and lastly a room with bunk beds. The children’s bedroom has regular sized single beds so can be used for adults if required (although head height is low on top bunk so can’t sit up there). This is our family house which we let for the summer holidays (the perks of being a teacher). We clear personal belongings such as wardrobes etc so it won’t feel like you’re staying in someone’s home. We do however leave things we think you might find useful like toys and books. It is a much loved home and we hope that it will make for a really lovely stay in Whitstable. This property comes equipped with the following: 2 dishwasher tablets, 2 washing machine tablets, 1 washing up liquid, 1 Antibacterial spray, 1 Kitchen roll, enough toilet roll for at least 2-3 days, 2 black bin liners, 2 white bin liners. We also provide all bed linen, bath and hand towels and toiletries for guests. Important: We are committed to protecting our properties which is why we've partnered with Know Your Guest, the leading vacation rental guest-screening provider. Please note that before your booking begins, you will need to verify your details and ID through Know Your Guest. You will also be given the choice between paying a refundable deposit or buying a non-refundable damage waiver. We suggest you buy the damage waiver as this protects you in case you cause accidental damage during a booking.

Places to Visit: Walk along the beach - Looking towards the sea, if you turn right at the Neptune you’ll head towards the harbour and Tankerton where you’ll be able to eat and drink at many beachside bars, cafes and restaurants. If you turn left at the Neptune you will walk along West Beach which is a nice walk and less busy with tourists in the summer but no cafe’s/bars on the seafront. The Street - A single strip about half a mile long that extends out from Tankerton Beach. Exposed at low tide and well worth looking up the tide times so you can time your visit to walk out to the end The Harbour - Quintessentially English harbour with fishing boats and huts selling fresh fish. Huts at the far end of the harbour sell a real mixture of wares including arts, crafts and street food. Restaurants on the harbour offer a nice place to sit and people watch but you definitely pay more for the location. Whitstable Castle and Gardens - 5 minutes walk from the harbour, between Tankerton and Whitstable. Serve simple lunches and cream teas in their pretty gardens. Harbour Street - A street of independent shops selling books, clothes, gifts and more. Places to eat JoJo’s - Slightly out of town but a nice walk along the beach to Tankerton. Serves delicious meze plates. Lots of fish dishes but also lots for vegetarians. I recommend booking in advance. Harbour Street Tapas - Lovely tapas restaurant on the popular Harbour Street Farm and Harper - A nice place for lunch and they have a small outside area out the back in the summer. Grain and Hearth - This bakery is a relatively new addition to Whitstable and we are VERY pleased to have it here. The pastries are amazing. You have to try one of their famous Cruffins! Nomad Pizza - Takeaway pizza, just around the corner from the cabin Castellum Pizzeria - Takeaway and eat in pizza restaurant, just around the corner from the cabin
