Stoke Newington Church street dates back to the 1300’s and was the home of Robinson Crusoe author Daniel Defoe. Many of the buildings here are over 400 years old. The area ha deeps ties to the Quaker movement Church Street, Stoke Newington (Stokie) has a wonderful vibrant buzz being a neighborhood with a treasure trove of attractions, places to eat, drink and spend time enjoying. Guests revel in the nearby Victorian Clissold Park and Manor house (ice cream and cream teas) complete with its small deer park and open spaces (tennis courts, kids football matches and lovely circular walk around small lakes). A variety of food restaurants taking inspiration from around the globe and bars and pubs plus independent gift shops provide for a really enjoyable local setting- along the lines of the world famous Camden, which is only a short train ride away (bus, train?) Dining out locally becomes an adventure with an array of renowned eateries offering delectable cuisine just steps away. Famous landmarks and several picturesque Victorian parks are within easy reach, inviting guests to explore and capture unforgettable memories. For sports fans you are only a 20min walk to the world famous Arsenal Football stadium at Drayton Park. Major musical events are regularly hosted at Finsbury Park again only 20 min walk away! Bus stop is outside our door and Stoke Newington train line is 10min walk away.
