Entrance to Rivulet Cottage is through a narrow archway opening into a cobbled courtyard with provision for cycle storage and motorcycle parking. Pateley Bridge sits in the area of outstanding natural beauty that is Nidderdale. Walks right from our front door will take you to acknowledged beauty spots including Brimham Rocks, Coldstone Cut and Yorke's Folly. Long distance walking trails that pass through Pateley Bridge include the 53 mile Nidderdale Way, 38 mile six Dales Trail linking Otley and Middleham. For cyclists the 215 miles Trans Pennine Trail passes through Pateley Bridge also as does the Tour de Yorkshire cycle route with the infamous Greenhow hill climb starting direct from the door. Within a 10 minute drive will see you at Fountains Abbey, How Stean Gorge and Stump Cross Caverns. A little further afield is the All Creatures Great and Small village of Grassington, Masham - home to Theakston's Brewery and the famous spa town of Harrogate with Betty's tea shop.
